One of my favorite parts about being on the WorldRace is meeting and connecting with others. I love hearing their stories, the reasons they love the ministry they’re a part of, what they think about God, and what they want their life to become. It’s fun to share in what they have already overcome to be where they are and imagine where they are going.

In Nicaragua, I was able to collect some of the stories and thoughts of the boys who attend the reformation school we worked with at Light and Salt Ministry (LASM). Translating their hearts across languages brought me an excitement, a breath of fresh air. Though they were young, living in brokenness, and fighting the battles of the world, their journey towards the truth was so evident. God has captured their hearts and minds and is bringing a form of renewal and transformation to their families. Their stories echoed the testimony of their lives in Christ as they sought to live out Romans 12:2 which says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your minds.” I was spurred on to share these testimonies as part of a video I was working on called A Day In The Life, you can check it out here:

It was in this moment that I found myself wanting to collect stories of more people along this journey. I’m often awe-inspired by their perseverance, the favor of the Lord in their life, and their love for God. As we moved from Nicaragua into Colombia, I was again surrounded by beautiful stories of God’s redemption as we ministered and worked along side those living at Ciudad Refugio. I was then inspired not only to collect these stories but also share them and to hopefully share the ones I have yet to collect from my future friends around the world.

I’ve been led to create this video and blog series, Voices of the Ministry. You can check out my most recently finished video containing the testimonies of my new friends from Ciudad Refugio in the Youtube below. Some of the stories you will hear will share of the transformation from addiction to self-control, homelessness to family, youth seeking for more of life than what the streets can offer, and what it looks like to grow up as the child of a full-time ministry pastor. Their stories have brought me chills, hope and a greater desire to praise God for all He’s doing around the world. I hope you too will be impacted by the power of their testimonies.

Be sure to subscribe as I am working on the next video for the series and you won’t want to miss it.
