Upon arriving at Light & Salt Ministry (LASM), I was immediately spurred on to bring my community in the U.S. into the picture of this ministry. The vision of LASM is to bring generational transformation to families in Nicaragua. One way they aim to reach this goal is through a boys’ reformation program. The program includes the following classes: Bible, English, Science, Sports and Critical Thinking. I could go on and on about how much I love this program, their vision, the people here and every single one of the boys.
My goal was to bring awareness, prayers and support to the ministry. This led to writing Pen Pals with students back home, both at my school and homeschooled students from my church. In just over 3 weeks we were additionally able to raise $1,100 for LASM!!!
With this money we were able to buy many needed and desired supplies for the ministry and leave them with the funds to buy more in the future. I am BEYOND proud of my community back home! Their generosity is so special and means so much to me. It’s a blessing to be a blessing to others. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to see the impact of others’ generosity.
This is how God builds the Kingdom!
