"Colombia"

The one that’s big. The one that isn’t just a brand but a country. The one with a lot of heavy and scary issues. The one that doesn’t sound good on paper. 

This is the one we’ve been sent to. The one where God is still the Master of the universe. The one where God’s glory is constantly on display through the creation of its landscapes. The one where God is very much at work and very much bringing light to the darkness that exists here. 

The one that honestly did scare me when I considered the grandeur of it all. Yet I asked God to take that fear because He’s not afraid of this one. He’s not afraid of the robbers, the drugs, the homeless or the needy. He’s asking us to partner without fear in this place. He’s asking us to rely on His power, His authority over the Earth, over this one place, over each person we meet. He’s asking us to lift up this one to Him for recovery, for renewal, for revival. 

What an honor it is to partner with God, with Holy Spirit and to walk without fear, in the authority He has given us. I don’t know about you, or about that one thing that seems grand standing in front of you but I do know the One who has total authority over it. I do know the One that’s given us promises of trust and strength and power and authority and love and light when we walk with Him. 

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7 KJV
