Eswatini Ministry Recap

Eswatini has been a month full of special visitors, children’s ministry and partnering with the Adventures in Missions base located here. Adventures in Missions, the WorldRace parent organization, has multiple bases throughout the world. Each base ministers to a unique population through the efforts of full time missionaries and locally hired employees. Here in Eswatini, the base focuses on ministering to impoverished and underprivileged children. They also look to empower and equip community members to participate in the work being done here.

During our time in Eswatini we have had the privilege of working in a handful of different ministry opportunities. These have included curriculum planning, teaching, carepoint ministry, maintenance, gardening, and event preparation. Our whole squad has been together here but for ministry we have been divided into teams of 3-6 for each one of these roles. This allows us to help in as many areas as possible. Personally, I’ve been able to visit multiple carepoints where we have played with many children, handed out meals, worked to maintain the facility grounds, gardened and documented a special event. I have also had the opportunity to support the curriculum team as they work to create lessons for the carepoint shepherds, who are the childcare leaders.

Additionally, most of our leadership team was able to participate with us in ministry this month. This was such a special opportunity as we were able to share in ministry together. This time together also allowed our leaders to continue to lead and guide us in wisdom, teachings and encouragement. We really appreciated their visit and look forward to seeing them in a few months at our next debrief!

We are headed from here to Rwanda where we will minister for the next two months. Staying in one place for two months will allow us to really settle in and give an extra amount of support to our ministry partners there. By the end of April we will be headed to Europe for our final two months on the field. I can’t believe how fast and how packed this trip has been. Please continue to pray for health, safety and well-being for each one of us as we move along this journey.

Thank you for your prayers, your support and your faithfulness to walk alongside us throughout this journey. We love you, we appreciate you and we miss you! It is a treasure to represent you and of course, Christ on this journey. Lives are being touched, encouraged and changed because of your financial giving, prayers and words of encouragement. Though the needs are many, blessings abound as we go forth and serve others.

Lots and lots of love,
