Today God had one plan for us: to just be. Be present that is. Fortunately we rose to the occasion and complied. It wasn’t too hard. Just hard in the fact we are READY to work yet God has asked us to be patient and rest just one more day.

To just be present looked like enjoying a slow morning of breakfast and coffee, followed up by a walk through a new neighborhood and a nice mid-morning nap. Then we indulged in a beautiful lunch prepared by Judith, our cook.

Our afternoon took us to a beautiful family farm.

There wasn’t any agenda other than Cafesita, our DAILY afternoon coffee time (more about that later, but you should definitely be jealous). We had the opportunity to just be a part of God’s creation, to find wonder in the bees and the ants.

To snuggle little pups and gape at the mountain views set before us.

There were flowers and coffee beans, butterflies and birds.

There were cows, and goats, and pigs, and lots and lots of doggos.

We walked and we talked and we drank some delicious coffee. It was a fantastic day to enjoy our new home and we found ourselves really settling in here.

  1. Lovely! It reminds me that God rested on the 7th day after He created the world, and Adam rested on his first day of life. You got rest before work! I love the pics!

  2. BEAUTIFUL!! Reminds me of Psalm 23 – that He leads us to green pastures. He is sure leading you to the beauty of His creation, and you have captured it SO WELL!
