UPDATE: TRAVEL ITINERARY

UPDATE: Travel Itinerary

It’s wild to think we have passed the halfway point of this journey. Everyday goes by so fast and is filled with so much. Here we are in South Africa at our month 6 debrief. This week we’re spending time reflecting on the last 6 months and refueling for our last 5 months. It’s incredible to look back on how God has worked, how many favorite photos I have and how many good growth moments I’ve had as well.

From here we will be spending the next 3 weeks in Eswatini at the Adventures in Missions base there. Ministry will look like working with and for the orphans who live at the orphanage on base. Our leaders will be joining us for some of our time there and that will be incredibly special!

Then we will head to Rwanda for the following 4-6 weeks. During this time the country will be celebrating the anniversary of the end of the genocide. What an honor to be there and serving there during that time!

Our final two countries will be Albania and Romania. That will put us at 10 countries in 11 months. Despite not making it to 11 countries over the 11 months, we feel privileged to have seen so much and to be a part of the Kingdom of God all around the world. Slowing down a little bit over the next few months will be refreshing and sustainable in a way that will help us finish this Race healthy.

This change comes primarily because of Covid restrictions, availability with AIM partners and the quickness of our months thus far. So far, we have faced quarantines in 5/6 countries and have faced positive Covid tests amidst our squad or hosts 4/6 countries. This has caused for scheduling shifts and ministry changes. So we are hoping to slow down a little on the second half of this journey and really give 4 full weeks of ministry to our remaining locations.

Following all of our ministry months we will have one extra week to do Ask The Lord (ATL) ministry and travel before returning to the U.S. This will potentially allow us to hit that 11th country and to see more of Eastern Europe/Middle East as possible.

Finally, we will be headed home to U.S. soil on or around July 1st and will spend one final week right back where we started in Gainesville, GA. This final week will allow us to reunite with our leaders and receive much needed guidance as we transition back to American life or whatever our futures hold.

All that to say, I am planning to return to life in Maine on July 8th! We will be having a large family reunion from July 10-15th in Caratunk. From there I will hopefully have the opportunity to catch some fresh Maine air as I unpack and return to home.

**As always, please hold these plans loosely as we continue to journey forward with many unknowns and potentials for change.
